Photo365 – Day 298 – Autumn sunlight

Its low in the sky and despite the time of year still quite warm – I’m talking about the sun. And this shot is direct into the sun with a leaf in the foreground photographed using the infrared converted Pentax *ist D and 16-45mm zoom. I processed in lightroom to convert the red tone to brown – the flare is natural.

Photo365 – Day 267 – leaf

As you may know from reading some of my blog entries I like to mess around with unsual lens combinations.
This morning I attached the Toy lens onto the Olympus EP2 and then screwed in a +10 macro lens. This macro lens is part of an old fisheye macro converter. It gives good sharpness in centre but falls off at the edges. Combine that with the crazy Toy lens and you have ultra fall off at the edges. And here’s what happens.

This is of a chestnut leaf. The focus distance is about 4cm from the subject.

Photo365 – Day 21 – Frosty Leaf

Today has been manic…just realised I hadn’t uploaded my daily pic. This was taken minutes after I got up and minutes before breakfast…what followed was a 15 hour stretch at the computer sorting out issues with the new gallery update.

Nothing special today but a snap!
