Photo365 – Day 186 – Yellow

The third in my rainbow colour series following on from red and orange is yellow. An abstract shot of a patio umbrella taken through a patterned glass pane in a kitchen door.

I’ve always been fascinated with how patterned glass distorts shapes, in this case the focus is on the glass itself and the umbrella behind just provides the colour needed for the theme. It’s an abstract with detail in the imperfections in the glass.

Photo365 – Day 117 – Clumber Park

I went for a cycle round Clumber Park today and passed this rich coloured scene. I positioned the tracks mid photo to give a graphical composition.
Taken with the Olympus EP2 and 17mm lens. I added the darker gradient to the sky in Lightroom.

It’s part of my photo365 project. I’ve been taking a photo a day since January 1st.

Photo365 – Day 81 – Daffodil and flare

My second Photo365 picture of a daffodil. The last one was as the sun set, this one was late afternoon. The garden was full of colour the sun was brilliant, the sky deep blue. All the daffs were glowing. I took a variety of shots from low angles using the Olympus E-P2 and 17mm lens and deliberately shot into the sun to get flare. I liked this one because of the multitude of vapour trials. I guessed the composition on all the shots as it I couldn’t see the LCD because the camera was low to the ground and pointing upwards.

Exposure was 1/500sec at f/11 and ISO400.
