It’s about time I had a blog so today I made the effort. Took a look on Google, and found WordPress which seemed to make sense! After a few failed attempts I got it installed, and here’s my first recording.
I woke up this morning to a frosty reception but the sun was out and decided to take out the new Olympus E-400 that we’ve got in for testing on ePHOTOzine. It’s a really compact DSLR smallest of its kind.
Barrow Hill, near Chesterfield seemed like a good place to go. This railway roundhouse preserves old locos and has some testing conditions for any camera. It gave me a chance to put the exposure system to its limits. You have a dark engine shed, with light streaming through large window panels, black engines and reflective paint. A challenge for any camera and it did a good job. I shot in RAW.
