After several years of working from home, Magezine Publishing moved to The Turbine – a business park in Shireoaks. As we were the first into the centre we had press coverage in the Worksop Trader today.

I was commissioned by Nigel Cooper of Monroe Video Productions to front a Digital Photography Video. Nigel wrote the script and I ad libbed the outdoor scenes. It wasn’t a great success (thanks partly to a few crappy reviews) but was fun to do.
I was commissioned by Lousie McIntyre of Haynes Publishing – a trading style of J H Haynes & Co Ltd Somerset – to look over the Haynes Digital Photography Manual and provide suggested corrections and supply photos for illustration purposes.
My magazine Digital PhotoFX was launched today. The first issue had taken me and my designer Chris Robinson about 6 weeks to come up with from concept to planning to producing. The issue came with a CD mastered by Ian Jennett.
It was a sell out issue and possible the first and only magazine to be reprinted.

Attended Effective Management Course Part One (of a four part course)
The course, run by Consultant Nick Taylor (Tracker) of MSD (UK) Ltd, was over three days. It was part of EMAP’s management training program
Other delegates included Paul Crawford, Martin Dupree, Gaynor Hemingway, Sonja Hill, Simon Linzell, John Roach, Alison Sharpe, Phil Wicks, Kate Wilkinson, Kevin Wilmot, and Jackie Wurr.
I came joint first with John Dakin in an internal Jessop photography competition. The prize was a trip to Photokina…my first time visiting and a Sigma 70-210mm UC lens.
Graham Armitage organised it all and he arranged for us to meet Mr Yamaki
We stayed in the Arcade Hotel in Cologne and met Yamaki on the Sigma stand over a glass of champagne.
The last day at 21 Market Place for Jessop Photo Centre as the business moved premises to 9 Commercial Street on Monday. It was a sad day we really liked that building. Lots of memories – including this one with Glynn, Vaughan, Susan, Simon and myself
