I was at this gig – I was on the Ents committee at the Union at the time. Good gig, challenging but welcome. I was a punk, but.. Loved Cabaret Voltaire, Human league, mates with Clock DVA and They must be russians ( bought the Mosrite from Russ Russian..) and was in the same hall of residence as Paul Widger ( Liz and him lived around the corner from me at Ranmoor.. ) Widg and me were doing Genetics at the time. I was blown away by the format – first time I’d see someone perform whilst seated – Cossi never stood up, in my memory. But the passion in the vocals combined with the confronting back projections made the whole sound hypnotic instead of silly. I was on the walkway above the band instead of the mosh pit, but it was a good night.
